1. Purpose of this Policy
1.1 This Policy explains how we select, produce, review and, where necessary, correct the editorial content we publish on this Website, including our blog, guides, interviews, news and case studies. We publish it so that readers, and the automated systems that reference our content, can understand how that content is produced.
1.2 It supplements our AI Transparency Note, which explains how we use AI in producing content, and our Terms of Use, which govern use of this Website generally. Where this Policy and those documents overlap, the more specific document applies.
2. What this Policy covers
2.1 This Policy applies to article-style editorial content published under the Blog, Guides, Interviews and News sections of this Website, and to the case studies published in our Work section. It does not apply to service-page marketing copy, which is not held to the same sourcing and review standard.
3. How we choose what to publish
3.1 We select topics based on their relevance to our audience of fintech and growth-stage technology companies, our own project experience, and questions we are commonly asked by clients and prospects.
3.2 Case studies are published only with the permission of the client organisation concerned, as set out in section 7 of our Terms of Use.
3.3 Where an article is based on an interview, we agree with the interviewee how they will be identified and give them the opportunity to review the quotations attributed to them before publication.
4. Editorial review and responsibility
4.1 Each article published on this Website names its author or authors and, separately, its editor, in the byline shown at the top of the article. Where an author page is available, the byline links to it.
4.2 Every article is reviewed before publication by the named editor, who takes editorial responsibility for that article.
4.3 Maksym Yakubovych is accountable for editorial review across the Website as a whole, consistent with section 4.4 of our AI Transparency Note.
4.4 Review covers factual accuracy so far as we are able to verify it, clarity, and compliance with this Policy and our other published policies.
5. Use of AI in content production
5.1 We may use AI tools to assist with research, drafting and editing, as described in our AI Transparency Note. AI output is treated as a draft. Every AI-assisted article is reviewed and edited by the named editor before publication, who takes editorial responsibility for the final version.
5.2 Where we publish an image, audio or video that has been artificially generated or manipulated, we label it as such, consistent with our AI Transparency Note.
6. Independence and commercial content
6.1 Our editorial content reflects our own view and professional experience. Commercial considerations, including our own service offering, do not determine the conclusions we reach in an article.
6.2 Much of our content refers to our own services, projects and case studies, because it draws on our project experience. We aim to make the nature of that connection clear in the content itself, and we distinguish this editorial content from service-page marketing copy, to which this Policy does not apply.
6.3 Where content is sponsored, commissioned or produced in partnership with a third party, or where it contains affiliate or paid links, we label it as such. We do not currently publish such content, and we will update this Policy if that changes.
7. Sources and accuracy
7.1 We aim to base factual claims on our own project experience, publicly available information, or sources we consider reliable. Where we rely on a third-party source, we aim to link to it or name it, and we prefer primary sources over secondary reporting.
7.2 We take reasonable care to verify factual claims before publication, to the extent we are able to. Metrics drawn from our own projects reflect the specific circumstances of that engagement and are not a promise of the same result elsewhere.
7.3 Published content reflects our understanding at the time of publication and may become outdated. We do not undertake to update articles after publication, except as set out in section 8.
8. Corrections
8.1 If you believe an article contains a factual error, you can report it to fintech@goodface.agency.
8.2 Where we agree a correction is warranted, we update the article and, for a significant factual error, note the correction and its date at the foot of the article.
